This topic is about the book I read for class.
The title is "The Sign of the Burger", by Joe L. Kincheloe.
It is mainly about the economic influence it has in this world from the view of one of the many who grew up looking at the golden arch we see almost everywhere in the world.

Honestly speaking, I thought this book would look into the menu that Mcdonald holds, but this book mainly talked about the economic and personal influence Mcdonald has on the consumers. This book illustrated various arguments by the author about our famous family restaurant. Starting with the reminder of basic knowledge such as how Mcdonald is now, the author introduces how Mcdonald is now, in a way, a term of education and its importance in the american culture. The book also explains mental ideas, such as why it is the most chosen fast food restaurant in this world.

When I FINALLY finished reading this book, I could not help but think that this would probably not stop me from going to Mcdonalds every now and then. The book talked about the reasons revolving Mcdonald in America for most of the time, and I could not help but think that this may not fit the images in Japan. However, this definitely is a great start to see how a tiny drive-in that started by a highway made it all the way to such a globally famous restaurant.

My first post would be a restaurant review to a Burger shop that opened last year in Tokyo. It is originally a food stall in New York, and now in 9 countries around the world. I have visited the restaurant in New York and London, and I loved it. Although I feared that the taste would be modified a little as it enters Japan, my fears were proved meaningless. It was great. I strongly reccomend the readers to try it out!
